Ken Stancer

Ken has taught piano using the Suzuki philosophy at MSAC since June 2014. Ken received a Bachelor of Music degree from UW-Whitewater in 1986 and a Master of Music degree from UW-Madison in 2002. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists, the International Society of Folk Harpers and Craftsmen, and the Suzuki Association of the Americas and Suzuki Association of Wisconsin. Ken has taught elementary classroom music for 33 years in the Madison area. In addition to teaching piano, he also gives private organ lessons. He serves St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Madison as music director and organist. In addition to piano and organ, Ken also plays the celtic harp; occasionally offering concerts at assisted living facilities in the Madison area. Outside of music, his hobbies are swimming, biking, and painting rooms in homes for family and friends; and his interests are environmental protection issues, gardening and healthy cooking and eco-friendly living.
