Beyond Monroe Street

Aspiring Artists and Musicians provides inclusive, arts-based educational experiences for children aged birth to 5 years with diverse abilities and support needs while they work towards therapy goals.

Each session thoughtfully combineds therapeutic objectives with joyful artistic and musical exploration, supporting developmental growth and building a vibrant, inclusive community.
We are proud to partner with speech-language and occupational therapists from Aspire Therapy & Developmental Services. Their collaboration ensures that sessions are developmentally supportive and accessible to children with a wide range of needs.

In music sessions, we utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools, including a communication board that enables nonverbal and minimally verbal students to make choices, participate in songs, and connect with their peers.
Art sessions feature a wide range of sensory experiences, including tactile materials like shaving cream, clay, and finger paints, which support sensory integration and creative exploration. To ensure full participation, students also have access to adaptive tools.

Tuition for this program is covered by fundraising and grants. There is no cost to participants. Find Enrollment information below.

Aspiring Artists
In collaboration with our friends at Aspire Therapy & Developmental Services, MSAC is thrilled to host this inclusive art class. Join MSAC instructor, Ms. Christina and Occupational therapists from Aspire as we allow students freedom to create in various ways each month. Projects are instructor-guided, with options for students to create in their own ways in a socially enriching environment.
Please discuss with the instructors if your child is willing and able to participate independently. If the instructors are able to facilitate, we ask that parents or caregivers stay on site in the lobby for the duration of the class.
