Our mission is to engage a community of learners in exploring the arts and developing the creative self.

When you step inside the Monroe Street Arts Center, the atmosphere is both vibrant and welcoming, like you’re walking into a creative home. Bright natural light filters across the open gallery wall, where colorful student artwork instantly reminds you of the joy of making. The hum of music lessons and soft chatter from art studios blend together into a lively energy. Each classroom & studio has its own personality—paint-stained tables, shelves of paper & supplies, and instruments at the ready—signaling that this is a place where creativity isn’t just encouraged, it’s expected.

The space feels open, inclusive, and full of possibility. There’s an undeniable warmth in the air, a sense that you’re part of something bigger the moment you cross the threshold. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a longtime student, walking through the doors makes you feel inspired, welcomed, and connected—ready to explore, play, and create.

Giving Keeps Us Going!

Monroe Street Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We work diligently to ensure our lesson fees are affordable, while also paying our instructors a competitive wage and supporting the programs that happen within our space and beyond our doors.  As a result, registration fees only cover 75% of our operating cost as an organization.  Contributions from supporters like yourself are essential to creating sustainability for Monroe Street Arts Center. Please consider a donation today to support our creative future.
