Welcome to the fascinating world of cartooning! Students will learn the basics of creating characters, emotions, details and settings- all things that make up the exciting process of storytelling through comics.

Meet the Instructor:
Lexie Olson
She/Her/Hers
Lexie is an artist and storyteller based in Madison, Wi and received her BFA from UW-Madison in 2021. Her practice centers around the intersection of visual and written language. Her body of work communicates the innate drive for people to create stories through image which begins in early childhood. In the classroom, she is passionate about encouraging a welcoming space where all students can have the ability to reflect and share their own stories and experiences through their art.
