This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the world of character creation starting with the basic fundamentals specific to anime and manga style. Develop skills in background creation, personality development, and storytelling to bring your characters to life!

Meet the Instructor:
Heather Grace
She/Her/Hers
Heather grew up in Florida, attending public middle and high schools with magnet programs in the arts before going on to study studio art and art history at Princeton University. Since graduating in 2018, Heather has lived and worked in New York, Pennsylvania, and now Wisconsin, both as a practicing artist (painting, illustration, and graphic design) and for Democratic organizations. Heather loves interior design, cooking and baking, live music, and spending time with friends here in Madison.
