Birthday & Private Parties

Thank you for considering Monroe Street Arts Center to help you celebrate your birthday!

We are here to focus on the details and make your party easy, so you can focus on having fun!

Party Details

Your reservation includes 90 minutes of party time! The first hour will be spent making an art project based on your choice below. The last 30 minutes will be reserved for cake and presents. Your art instructor will remain in the room for the duration of the party.

Parties are recommended for those turning five and up. The base price is $210, which includes time and projects for 10 participants to take home. Additional participants are $17 each. We can accommodate up to 16.​

 

Your child will also receive a birthday present from Monroe Street Arts Center.

You are welcome to bring decorations, cake, beverages, party plates, and napkins. However, please note that we are a peanut—and tree-nut-free facility. You are allowed to arrive 15 minutes early for setup and 15 minutes after for packing up. ​

Choose a project

  • Clay Animal (ages 5+): The birthday child will choose an animal, An art instructor will guide the group step-by-step through making the chosen animal out of model magic in the color of their choice. 

  • Guided Animal Painting (dog, cat, unicorn) (ages 5+): An art instructor will lead the group step-by-step through painting the chosen animal on a canvas board. 

  • Custom Canvas Bags (ages 8+): An art instructor will help party-goers decorate their unique canvas bag using paint, markers, and/or fabric pastels.

  • Felt Stuffie (dog, cat, bear) (10+): The birthday child will choose the type of stuffie to be made. An art instructor will lead the party attendees through the step-by-step process of creating the stuffie. No sewing is necessary. Each child will make their own to take home. 

  • Treasure Boxes (ages 10+): An art instructor will help party-goers decorate their unique wooden box using a variety of materials, including paint, glitter, gems, stickers, etc. 

  • Choose your own adventure (Additional $25 fee): Does your birthday child have a specific project in mind? We can create a unique project not listed here.

  • Please note that a full refund, less a 20% administrative fee will be issued if the party is cancelled 14 days or more before the party. Cancellation less than 14 days prior to the party will result in a 50% refund. Cancellation on the date of the party will result in NO REFUND. If you need to reschedule your party please give us as much advance notice as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you.

  • A final count will be taken the day of your party and final payment charged after that day. 

  • In case of inclement weather or illness of the birthday child, parties may be cancelled. We will do our best to offer a date to reschedule, but this is not guaranteed.

  • Please inform your guests to dress for mess! Most of our materials are washable, but some materials may be harder to remove than others.

  • At least one grown up of the birthday child must be present. Participants' adults are encouraged to drop off, due to limited space in the party room, but are welcome to stay in the lobby or in the room as space allows. MSAC does not assume liability for the children. The adults who remain present assume liability.
