Meghan Rosing

Art Instructor

She/Her/Hers

Meghan Rosing is an artist, mother, and early childhood educator. With Diana Smith, she is the co-founder of the Wisconsin Artist Mother Collective. Meghan’s art-making is deeply influenced by the way her students and two young children create spontaneously from whatever scraps they can find. Teaching young children has been her second career, after earning a PhD in Victorian children’s literature and teaching writing and literature to adults. She now combines her interest in writing with a love for visual art as she writes about her past to bring forward the ideas and memories that fuel her image-making. As a community-taught artist, she is especially inspired by the freedom and fertility of “outsider” artists and makes many pilgrimages to the wonderful outsider artist environments of Wisconsin.
