Cecilia Nam
Piano, Flute
She/Her
Cecilia has been playing piano since age 4 and flute since age 8, and music has been an important part of her life ever since. She began formal classical piano training as a child and was admitted to Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music for piano performance. While at Northwestern, she ultimately chose to pursue degrees in psychology and legal studies, keeping music as a lifelong passion and creative outlet. Throughout her musical training, Cecilia has competed in regional and national-level piano competitions, performed in recitals and school ensembles, and accompanied instrumentalists for IHSA Solo and Ensemble competitions, studio recitals, and concertos. She has also performed as a flautist in wind ensemble and symphony orchestra and has several years of experience teaching and tutoring students of different ages. Cecilia enjoys helping students develop strong musical foundations while building confidence and finding their own enjoyment in music.
She currently works as a Research Specialist at UW–Madison's Center for Healthy Minds and is excited to share her love of music with students at MSAC.
