Christopher Allen has been teaching guitar (classical, electric, acoustic-all styles/levels), Ukulele, Mandolin, Banjo and Oud at MSAC since 2008. He has a DMA-UW Madison (‘12) in classical guitar performance with a jazz studies minor and an MM, BA- Southern Illinois University Carbondale (1998,2002) in classical guitar performance. He has 25+ years teaching experience, SIUC-lecturer 2002-2008, John A.Logan College-guitar instructor 2000-2008, Southeastern Illinois College-guitar instructor- 2001-2008, UW-Madison Community lessons program-instructor 2008-2012, Madison College-instructor 2010-present. Chris established the Madison Classical Guitar Society (501c3) in 2013, helping bring guitarists of all levels and styles together to appreciate the artistry of the classical guitar and bringing concerts and masterclasses by renowned guitarists from around the world.
