Music has been part of Christen's life from the very beginning. She grew up singing in choirs, taking piano and violin lessons, performing in musical theater, and enjoying countless trips to symphonies, musicals, and her dad's band concerts (where she learned that the trombone is both a beautiful instrument and an excellent excuse to make slide sound effects). She even enjoyed a brief but enthusiastic percussion phase, discovering that making music and happily pounding on things are sometimes the very same activity.

After studying genetics and working in laboratory and healthcare technology settings, Christen found her way back to music through classes with her own little ones. She fell in love with the joy, connection, and community that music creates for families and is thrilled to share that experience with others.

In Christen's classes, you'll find singing, dancing, laughter, imagination, and plenty of silliness. She believes music brings people together while creating joyful memories for families and giving space for deep, meaningful learning. Outside of teaching, Christen enjoys riding bikes, hiking, reading, spending time with family, and marveling at her three growing kids.
