The Impressionists revolutionized the world of painting in the late 19th century, with their bright and loosely painted scenes from everyday life. They brought together innovative compositional ideas from Japanese prints and a penchant for direct observation of light and color to create vibrant works that continue to inspire artists and art lovers to this day. In this two-session class, we will draw lessons from artists like Monet, Cassatt, and Degas, emphasizing thoughtful color mixing, direct and loose application of paint, natural light, and playful composition. This course will be taught using acrylics, but students who wish to paint in oils may bring their own supplies. 

Great for beginner to intermediate painters. 18+ or 14+ with adult companion. Two 3-hour sessions. Supplies are included.
